Brrrr....

and it looks like winter has hit with a shiver and snow storm.  It was sooo windy and cold.  You could barely see the other side of the valley while we were driving to playschool!  It's horrible out there, but there are some pluses.  Marc stayed home from work today and it looks like he'll be home tomorrow as well.  Maybe that means there will be pictures of some Christmas baking in the forecast?  Stay tuned!

Halloween party at Playschool

So even with the horrible weather we trekked out to the Family Centre for Preston's playschool Halloween party.  I was able to snap a quick picture of him showing Mrs. Tober his dinosaur costume.  He was so proud of his costume and has been asking all week if it was "Halloween" so he could wear his costume.

And on our way home I looked in my rear view mirror to start laughing.  Preston had picked these glasses for a prize and although before we left playschool he wasn't happy he had picked it (he wanted a whistle straw that a few of the other kids had picked).  He thought they were pretty cool after we all laughed at him wearing them.  What a goofball!

A trip to the Pumpkin Patch

On our way home from Somerset we made a pit stop at Meandher Creek's Pumpkin Patch in Oak Lake.  Since it was the end of their season there weren't too many pumpkins for picking, but the boys had a blast running around, checking out the farm animals, and even played in the little straw bale maze.  I was also able to get a picture of all of them in this cute sign which I never did before!

Lachie wanted a picture of himself sitting beside the pumpkins and sat right down and said "cheese".  What a good little fella!

And then we have our newest pick o' the patch, Wyatt in his cute little pumpkin had made by yours truely : )  He was all smiles even though he had wiggled himself away from the pumpkins just before I caught this picture and and fallen over.  We will definitely have to make a day of the Patch next year as there were many things we didn't get a chance to do as it was almost closing time when we got there, but I did have to get my Pumpkin Patch pictures for the year.

So this was a day for me to enjoy what I like most...creating layouts for past, present and future memories.  Check out my scrapbooking blog for more details and upcoming picture of some of the layouts I created today.

What an awesome Friday!

So Marc had taken today off so we could head to Somerset this afternoon with the boys.  Which means it's an awesome day to be me!!!!  He's the one that cooks breakfast and I requested french toast.  I loaded it up with whip cream, syrup and strawberries and man was it AWESOME!!!  It's been so long since we've had a chance to be at home for a homemade breakfast.  It's been a crazy summer and fall so this was a welcome treat : )

Beautiful weather today

It was a beautiful day today so the boys and I walked over to the mail.  When we got there I had a parcel and this was what was in it : )

This was Wyatt's backup halloween costume.  Isn't he cute?  I'll have to do a photoshoot with him in it a little later in the winter as it's a little too big for him, but I just had to take a picture right now.

And after we got home the boys wanted to play outside so we rode bikes, played in the sandbox and had some swing time.  It will probably be one of the last times before it gets too cold out so they really enjoyed the outdoor time.

It's getting colder outside...

So on our way home from gymnastics we saw the big ring around the sun.  Sundogs this early is a little scary as it's a sign that it's very cold outside so I hope this isn't a warning of what's to come!

It's a Princess and Knight Party!

So the Expressway Family Centre put on an awesome party this morning.  I had been debating all night whether I should take the boys or not and I'm sooo glad that I did.  There was a castle, sword fighting, horse racing, lots of pretend play and of course royal feast.  It was so much fun!  Preston loved playing with the stick horse while Lachlan played strange for the first part of the morning.  Then he warmed up and was following Preston everywhere.  And then there was my little pumpkin who decided that after 30 mins he needed to take a nap and slept through the rest of the party.  The boys were so tuckered out when we arrived at home that is was a quick lunch and off to nap which was the highlight of my day as I had lots of stuff I needed to get done.

Another beautiful fall day...

So I had some errands to run this morning, but when we got home I thought it was too beautiful to waste inside so the boys and I spent the morning outside playing with some toys in the sandbox and swinging on the swings.

My little pumpkin...

Well, it's been super busy around here like usual and I've been busy creating lots of cute beanie hats.  I just had to try to make a cute pumpkin hat as we are hoping to be heading to the Pumpkin Patch in Oak Lake in a couple of weeks.  For any of you who may not know, Lachlan made the Brandon Sun while we were at the Patch last year and he was wearing one of my creations.  Although Marc was thinking that I was trying for it again I told him there's no way as we are heading out there at the end of the season.  I just wanted an adorable hat to keep his beaner warm and also for the scrapbooking photo ops I want to do!  Yes, that's right my kids have a crazy scrapbooking mom! Tee hee hee : )

And then after a long day, I had to get this photo.  I put Wyatt in his jumperoo to play and thought he would just fuss when he wanted out.  When I turned around he was asleep!  And I thought Lachlan could sleep anywhere, well this little guy will sleep ANYWHERE too!  In someone's arms while sitting, on the floor in the living room, swing, jumperoo, it's so cute!

In the mail

Guess what came in the mail today?  Preston's halloween costume!  I've only been trying to get a hold of one of these costumes for over a year.  The are so pricey and discontinued so when everyone started to list their costumes on eBay last month I was finally able to get a hold of one for a decent price!  He LOVES it!  Unfortunately after trying it on him he now asks everyday if he can wear it.  Oopsy, but I had to make sure it would fit him.  Oh well, Halloween will come soon enough.

It starts...

As they say in the Lion King movie it has started in our house as well.  Wyatt has officially started to roll over.  I caught him on his way back, but he had rolled over to his tummy and then back.  Guess I'll be chasing 3 boys around my house by Christmas .  It's going to get very busy around here.  Better get started on all the planning.  And it's been 3 months since we met Mr Wyatt as well!

Piggy bank time

So I cleaned out all the change in the van (finally!) and brought out the boys piggy banks so they could all put the money in their piggies.  Preston and Lachlan sat at the table putting all their change in their banks and I put Wyatt's in his bank for him.

A quiet morning...

Preston & Lachlan love going out to Granny and Papa's and all the little kitties they get to play with.  I was walking past the dining room window when I looked out and saw these two playing with a kitten on Papa's overgrown lawn.  I had to giggle and grab my camera to snap a quick photo.

Hanging out at Granny and Papa's

So we spent the weekend in Virden and since it was such a beautiful day all the kids headed outside for some playtime.  Lachlan loved playing in the wagon and running around.  He loves the great outdoors!

My 3 boys

So this doesn't happen very often in our house, but Daddy was able to facilitate a quick "boys" photo.  It was such a cute picture even though they were in their pjs.  I can't wait until we do our family photos.  I really need to get on that so I'll be ready for christmas card time.

Season's best colors...

So last night I had the opportunity to take a class at the Expressway Family Centre for flower arrangement.  We made a beautiful arrangement for Thanksgiving using the beautiful colors of the fall.  The following pictures are done with my new macro lens.  It's really fun playing around with my new lens to capture my favorite time of year.

A visit to the Fire Hall

Since this week is Fire Prevention week we had a visit to the Fire Hall in Oxbow for Discovery Day at the Expressway Family Centre.  Preston was more interested in running around with some of the other boys his age and Lachlan had to check out the fire trucks and troddle out to the road.  I tell you chasing these boys around is a job in itself!  But we did have fun and Preston did get to hold the fire hose and spray it onto the street which he thought was fun.

Take a picture of McQueen

So I was playing around with my new lens and getting my camera ready for the weekend and Preston came up and said "Mommy, take a picture of my McQueen."  So of course here's a picture of Preston holding one of his favorite toys, Lightning McQueen.
